The world moves incredibly fast but dance education does not. Achievements in dance take time and dedication. Progress is not rapid (nor should it be).
Dance demands a “whole” person.
Protecting our students physical and mental wellbeing is at the forefront of what we do.
We take a holistic approach when it comes to teaching our students. We focus on developing technique alongside providing students the opportunity to explore creatively within dance. At it’s core – dance is about personal expression.
While we offer exams, competitions and regular performances, our primary focus is the development of each dancer. Dance lessons can teach so much more than technique and tricks. Dance classes teach awareness of the body, logic, working with others, creative thinking, focus and how to pay attention, how to persevere, how to express yourself, and how to be comfortable in your own body. The skills learned in the dance studio can impact students academics, social skills, and personal identity.
While all students will, at some point, have the opportunity to participate in examinations – the end result is not our focus. The journey getting to that point is what is important. We take a lot of pride in knowing our students as individuals and adapting our teaching approach to support their unique needs.
Whether dancing just for fun or taking it seriously, we are a studio for everybody. Because we limit our enrolments, we are able to address the unique needs of our students.
